Privacy Policy
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and otherwise processed in connection with the website and services (collectively, the "Services") operated by DonorKit, Inc. ("Operator") on behalf of Lake Ozark Christian Church Inc., a Missouri nonprofit corporation ("Organization"). References to "we," "us," or "our" may refer to the Operator, the Organization, or both, as applicable. This Policy applies to all users of the Services, including visitors, donors, members, and other individuals who interact with the Organization through the Services.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically.
2. Data Collection and Handling Responsibilities
The Services are developed, hosted, and operated by DonorKit, Inc. on behalf of the Organization. DonorKit, Inc. is the primary data controller responsible for the collection, processing, and security of data submitted through the Services.
The Organization receives only the information necessary to fulfill its ministry operations, including but not limited to: donor names, contact information, donation amounts, and communications such as prayer requests or inquiries. The Organization does not have direct access to payment card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information, which is handled exclusively by DonorKit, Inc. and its payment processor, Stripe, Inc.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using the Services, including but not limited to:
- Donation Information: Name, email address, billing address, payment card information, bank account information, donation amount, and donation frequency
- Communication Information: Name, email address, phone number, and content of messages submitted through contact forms, prayer requests, or other communications
- Registration Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other information provided when registering for events, programs, or newsletters
- Account Information: Login credentials and account preferences
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Services, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device Information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Information: Pages viewed, links clicked, access times, referring URLs, and other actions taken on the Services
- Location Information: Approximate geographic location based on IP address; precise location data with your explicit consent

5.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment processors: Stripe, Inc. via DonorKit, Inc.
- Email service providers
- Website hosting providers
- Analytics providers
- Customer support providers
These providers are contractually obligated to use personal information only for the purposes for which it was disclosed and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
5.2 Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights
We may disclose personal information if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:

- Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of the Organization, our users, or others

6. Payment Processing
All donations made through the Services are processed by DonorKit, Inc. using Stripe, Inc.'s secure payment platform. When you make a donation, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy and terms of service. The Organization does not store or have access to complete payment card numbers or bank account numbers.
By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) DonorKit and Stripe will process your payment information; (b) you have reviewed and accept their respective privacy policies and terms; and (c) we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party payment processors.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interactions with the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Services. By continuing to use the Services, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this Policy.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Donation records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years for tax and legal compliance purposes.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that you provide personal information at your own risk.

Subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Requesting access to your personal information
- Requesting correction of inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opting out of marketing communications
- Managing or canceling recurring donations at donork.it/locc
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information provided below. We may require verification of your identity before processing your request. We reserve the right to deny requests that are unreasonable, repetitive, or not required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at office@lakeozarkdisciples.org so we can take appropriate action.
12. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties.
